This is the website of Mark Geld (pen name). I riceived a PhD in finance from a European university; my research focuses on portfolio optimization.

I am the author of the book "An Introduction to Stock Investing with R"; you can download the dataset used in the book here. My goal is to show beginner investors how to apply portfolio theory in the real world to make actual investment decisions, and to teach undergraduate students in finance how to perform portfolio optimization with R.
